Synopsis

Space Invaders is a 2D side-scrolling shooter where the player controls a laser cannon by moving it horizontally across the bottom of the screen to shoot descending aliens. The goal is to eliminate five rows of eleven aliens (the number may vary depending on the version) that move horizontally back and forth as they progress toward the bottom of the screen. Each eliminated alien earns points. As the number of aliens eliminated increases, their movements and the game's music become faster. Each elimination triggers a new, more difficult wave, a cycle that can repeat indefinitely.
