Synopsis

Ninja Jajamaru: Ginga Daisakusen is a generic Japanese platformer that was rather inspired by Super Mario Bros 3. A plan to release this game overseas was in progress but was forgotten before it could come to fruition.

Jajamaru therefore finally returns to the world of horizontal scrolling in the fifth and final Famicom opus. For starters, it looks like Super Mario Bros 3 like a clone. The graphic style is very similar, and the status bar is almost exactly the same. Although Jajamaru's favorite weapons in the past have been shuriken, here he can only kill enemies by jumping on their heads. Holding the B button starts you running in place, allowing you to dash and do higher jumps. You can find power-ups by hitting the blocks with your head and you can also jump on them.
