Synopsis

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier was a 2D platform game developed by Bandai for the NES. It was based on the film Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, but was canceled before its scheduled release. The unfinished game has inconsistencies with several plot and character elements from the completed film. In 2006, a prototype version of four levels was released online as a ROM file, playable via emulation on PC or an actual NES. The first two levels and the final level were horizontal shooters. The third level featured space combat where the player navigated the USS Enterprise-A through an asteroid field and then battled a Klingon cruiser near the "Planet of Creation".
