Synopsis

Star Wars: Attack on the Death Star recreates the final battle from the film A New Hope, placing the player in command of an X-wing. The gameplay is similar to the 1983 arcade game: The first level is a space fight against TIE fighters when approaching the station, the second takes you to the surface of the Death Star dodging turbolasers, finally the last level is firing the proton torpedo into the trench. The game features digitalized voices (taken from the film) and 3D wireframe vector graphics - this makes the Death Star analysis sequence during the introduction almost identical to the original animation (created with analog computers) used in the film (shown in the rebel base briefing room).
