Synopsis

Fox McCloud's father and two of his wingmen were sent five years ago to investigate the activities of mad scientist Andross on the remote planet Venom.

Unaware that one of his wingmen, Pigma Dengar, was working for Andross, he was lured into a trap and was never seen again, but he managed to help his other wingman, Peppy Hare, escape. The latter reported that Andross had assembled an army and was determined to conquer the Lylat star system.

Five years later, the two camps are engaged in an all-out war for control of the system. Fox McCloud brought his father's squadron out of retirement and assembled a new team consisting of Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad and his father's old wingman, Peppy Hare.
