Street Fighter Alpha 2
Synopsis
Street Fighter Alpha 2 retains most of the gameplay elements introduced in Alpha: Warriors' Dreams: the three-level Super Combo gauge, counters and even blocks.
The main new feature is the addition of the “Custom Combo” system, which replaces the “Chain Combos” of the first Street Fighter Alpha. “Custom Combo” require at least one level of the energy gauge for their use and are characterized by a purple shadow each time the character moves. Upon activation, the player gains speed to perform combos, but a limit is imposed on the player during its use. The time of "Custom Combo" depends on the energy gauge, two seconds for one energy level, three seconds for the second level and four seconds for the third level. Only one kick or punch is required to use a level of the energy gauge. Using two levels is done using two punch or kick buttons, and three punch or kick buttons to use all three levels. The player can no longer block any attacks when “Custom Combo” is active.
