Synopsis

After a catastrophic landing on an oceanic alien world, the only way to go is down. Subnautica's oceans range from sunny, shallow coral reefs to dangerous abyssal trenches. Manage your oxygen levels while exploring kelp forests, plateaus, reefs, and winding cave systems. Water is full of life: some of it useful, but much of it harmful.

After waking up in your rescue ship, it's all about finding water and food, and developing the equipment you need to explore, as quickly as possible. Collect resources from the ocean around you. Design knives, lighting, diving equipment, personal marine equipment. Go further and deeper and find rarer resources, in order to craft more and more advanced tools.
