Synopsis

Between 1984 and 1986, Irem released four more different Lode Runner arcade games in Japan following the release of the original arcade games. 55 levels were taken from these arcade games and put together into Super Lode Runner for the Famicom Disk System. The game also retained the innovation of arcade games, namely two-player mode, and added 15 levels for simultaneous action.

The game maintains the typical gameplay of the Lode Runner series. Players must collect all the gold on the stage, while avoiding or trapping the robot guards who are constantly chasing them. The game also features a level editor that allows players to create their own scenes.
