Synopsis

Tangent is a side-scrolling shooter where you pilot a spaceship through futuristic stages, destroying a set number of enemies to progress. Radar indicates enemy positions, and managing your ship's speed and direction is essential to avoiding collisions. Enemy fire or crashes reduce your energy. At the end of each stage, a large mothership offers bonus points if destroyed – failure means forced progression without reward. As the levels progress, enemies become faster, more numerous and better armed.
