Synopsis

The year 1942 is the subject of many video games dealing with World War II. The reason: it was the year when many decisive battles took place, including Midway, Stalingrad, North Africa and... Guadalcanal. This game deals with the desperate battles that took place in the Solomon Islands, specifically on and around the island of Guadalcanal, during which the Allies attempted to prevent the Japanese from continuing their advance towards Australia.

In TF42, you can play as either the Americans or the Japanese. All the major ships that participated in the battle are represented, including the infamous Yamato and the fearsome Iowa. The game features individual historical battles, as well as the entire Guadalcanal campaign.
