Synopsis

Tengai Makyou II: Manji Maru is the sequel to Tengai Makyō: Ziria. Although not directly related to its predecessor narratively, the game takes place in the same semi-humorous universe of feudal Japan and shares many recurring elements in terms of gameplay and style. The player leads a party of up to four characters in a vast world divided into provinces, each with its own capital and several small towns. Randomly encountered enemies are fought in turn-based combat from a first-person perspective. As in the previous game, magic spells must be obtained by locating Tengu Retreats; they can then be equipped on any character and swapped between them.
