Synopsis

The computer displays the tennis courts, players and scoreboard and asks to enter the player's name. This name appears on the scoreboard against Barcelona's Manuel Fawlty, his first opponent. The player is asked if they want a one- or three-set match, then given the choice of three or six games in a set. He is then asked to choose between joystick control and keyboard and begins with manual service. If the player loses the match, he is invited to play against Manual again. If he wins through to the next round, he might have a chance to play Powerful Pierre of France, Ivan the Vulgar Boatman of Russia, Norm Everidge of Australia or even the quiet-spoken American John O'Neill.
