Synopsis

The Blade of Blackpoole is an illustrated text adventure game set in a medieval fantasy universe. Your quest: find the legendary sword Myraglym, last seen at Blackpoole Lake. Along the way, you'll traverse forests, swamps, mazes, and cliffs, all while facing fearsome enemies such as a talking carnivorous plant, a lizardman, and a hungry sea monster. Benevolent characters may also appear, offering you puzzles whose clues will allow you to obtain their help. With 60 illustrated locations, an inventory limit and complex commands to memorize, the game requires strategy and problem-solving skills. Your ultimate goal: solve all the puzzles, grab the sword and reach the maximum score of 500 points.
