Synopsis

At the end of the first episode, the protagonists succeed in destroying the Chaos Engine, a time machine developed by Baron Fortesque. The latter appears to have been eliminated. However, in this sequel, he and the characters find themselves trapped in a time paradox generated by the machine's destruction. To survive, they find themselves having to assist the Baron in rebuilding the machine. Only one of them will be able to escape the time trap...

Unlike its predecessor, The Chaos Engine 2 is a split-screen deathmatch between two players. One of the characters can be controlled by the computer in single-player mode but the screen remains separate. The game does not have any cooperative mode and you must win the level either by achieving the best score or by eliminating your rival.
