Synopsis

The Examination is a role-playing game in the tradition of the “Bard's Tale” series, but with only one character. The player plays an apprentice magician who must travel the world to pass his final exam, divided into five tests. There are many dungeons to explore and monsters to defeat. The fights take place turn-based and earn experience points, allowing you to gain levels and improve the character's statistics (strength, mentality, constitution and dexterity). As a wizard, the player can learn spells, categorized into light, compass, healing, combat, and ranged spells. New spells are acquired after passing a test. The user interface displays the current situation, character stats, commands and important information such as enemy status, dialogues and an automatic map.
