Synopsis

The Factory is an educational game designed to introduce children to programming. The player has a rectangular plate decorated with stripes and holes arranged at different angles. He must then design a production line, made up of a series of successive steps to obtain the desired pattern. Each step is carried out by a machine which cuts, perforates or transforms an initially smooth plate into strips. Once the machines are selected, the manufacturing process is simulated and the resulting panel is compared to the initial specifications.

The game offers three difficulty levels. The simplest levels only require two or three machines to create the desired designs. The most difficult levels may require up to eight.
