Synopsis

Fort Defiance is an unfinished stockade that blocks the passage of a vastly outnumbered invading army during the War of 1812. You command a Napoleonic-era artillery piece and its crew, defending the fortification's most vulnerable point. Your performance will determine whether the fort holds up or falls. The game uses a handicap system (from 1 to 63). The lower the handicap chosen at the start, the faster the enemy will retreat. This system ensures that each repelled attack is followed by a more determined attempt. As the commander of the artillery piece, it is your responsibility to choose the ammo type, fuse length, elevation, and target.
