Synopsis

The Institute is a dark text adventure game where you play as John, trapped in a nightmarish asylum, plagued by madness and manipulation. Tormented by doctors and plagued by drug-induced hallucinations, your only goal is to escape. Using a rudimentary two-word parser, you explore this sinister environment, collect clues and objects from dream sequences, and uncover fragments of your past. The emphasis is on the surreal story and unsettling atmosphere rather than complex gameplay: a disturbing, strange and intense experience.
