Synopsis

The Kristal of Konos is a magical artifact described as the key to world peace. However, an evil being known as Malvalla took it, unleashing Chaos into the universe. A space pirate named Dancis Frake ventures on his twin-cannon space galleon to the planet Meltoca, where he hopes to find clues regarding Kristal's whereabouts. Based on the play The Kristal of Konos (1976), The Kristal is primarily an adventure game with parts of space shooting and combat. Adventure parts involve exploring populated planets, collecting clues, and talking to characters to obtain information. When traveling between planets, the player-controlled ship may be attacked by enemies, which must be eliminated during shooting sequences. Dances have special strength and psychic ratings, which can increase or decrease depending on one's actions. He can participate in sword fighting to improve these parameters. "Skringles", a form of intergalactic currency, can be found, earned and spent in-game.
