Synopsis

The Last Amazon tells the story of a young UNICEF employee who, in the early 1990s, traveled to the most remote tropical forests of South America to lead a vaccination campaign among isolated indigenous tribes. Armed with a rifle, a bulletproof vest, vaccines, syringes and a small shortwave radio, she disappeared without a trace for five years. When she returns, she must face the consequences of her experience.
