Synopsis

This game is the first in the Ganbare Goemon series to be released in the West and, unfortunately, the only one officially translated into English apart from the games released on N64. Note that some scenes from the original were censored for the West.

In this game, playable by 2 players in cooperation, we direct Goemon (renamed Kid Ying) and his sidekick Ebisumaru (Dr. Yang) who must go and save a princess captured by bad guys in levels alternating action-RPG phases à la Zelda - a Link to the Past and platform phases. Along the way they can go shopping to upgrade their equipment, play mini-games and relax in the sauna or in inns.

Little tip: the player can climb on the back of the other player and be carried. We can also play the "pimps" by reading the counters of the young girls in the street who will give their recipe of the day. Well, that's my way of seeing the fact that touching a young girl brings money.
