Synopsis

The Lords of Midnight is an adventure set in a fantasy kingdom. The player starts with four heroes (Luxor, Rorthron, Corleth and Morkin) and has the opportunity to recruit up to twenty-eight other characters to try to defeat the army of the terrible wizard Doomdark. At the end of each game turn, Doomdark plunges the world into darkness, revealing the outcome of the battles after the fact. The game is won when Doomdark's Ice Crown is destroyed or his citadel falls. At the time of the game's release, Mike Singleton believed that Doomdark could not be defeated, but players quickly proved him wrong.
