Synopsis

Despite a terrible snowstorm, a young student from G.U.E. Tech goes to the school's computer lab to work on his final term paper. However, something strange happened. The file containing the student document has been partially overwritten by the Alchemy Department files. At first, the student's only goal is to find his lost document, but he soon realizes that something much more sinister is going on in the depths of the school building.

The Lurking Horror is Infocom's only horror-themed text adventure game. The game takes place in the haunted school building, in the middle of a blizzard that has made escape impossible. The player explores the environments and must solve puzzles to overcome obstacles. There are hostile creatures in the game, most of which must be defeated or outwitted using specific items.
