Synopsis

“The Secret of Bastow Manor” is a text-based adventure where you explore the abandoned estate of Bastow Manor to uncover its treasure. As you navigate the house, you must avoid dogs, traps, and the mysterious inhabitants. The game uses a simple parser system for commands like “READ NOTE,” “OPEN DOOR,” or “CLIMB TREE.” You can navigate using shortcuts such as “N” for north and view available exits with “G.” Your collected items can be checked with the command “I.” The C64 version enhances the text with rudimentary graphics and simplifies interaction by listing the objects in your surroundings.
