In a world where war is a simple game staged by wealthy companies in order to avoid a "real" military conflict, you play the role of a talented fighter pilot recently transferred to a new base. From there, you quickly take flight, gradually unraveling the mystery of the recruits who fly alongside you and all seem intriguingly young. The adventures on dry land will give you food for thought but it is in the air that the real drama will unfold. With the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, you'll immerse yourself in the heart of the aerial action: the Nunchuk's movements will direct your plane and you'll have to tilt the Wii Remote forward or backward to choose your flight speed. Once you've mastered these controls, your adventures will gain intensity as you pursue an enemy plane or skillfully dodge gunfire. But if you're the type who prefers a more conventional approach, you can also use the classic (pro) controller or the Nintendo GameCube controller. In the middle of combat, you can execute skillful maneuvers by filling a gauge displayed on the screen when the pursuit of an enemy becomes intense. As you approach a certain distance, the gauge will begin to fill. All you have to do is press a button to perform a gravity-defying feat that will put you in the best position to eliminate your target. The fuller your maneuver gauge is, the more effective your prowess will be and will help you clear the skies of all those enemy pilots.Each of the missions assigned to you will begin with a military-style briefing, which will give you an overview of what is expected of you. You will then have to select the aircraft and weapons that you deem best suited to your mission. You will have more choices as you progress. Fortunately, if you feel like things are getting a little too complicated for you, two-player mode allows a friend to lend you a hand using a second Wii Remote.
