Synopsis
War of the Worlds is a 1-player strategic war game for the Atari 8-bit. Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, you control infantry, cavalry and artillery units in a fight against an alien invasion. Played on a terrain map, your troops can move quickly by rail. Each turn, alien cylinders or reinforcements may arrive. Maneuver your forces, confront the aliens as they appear, and attempt to defeat the alien threat before it destroys the landscape.
