Synopsis

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Polish: Wied?min 3: Dziki Gon) is an open-world action-RPG video game developed by Polish studio CD Projekt RED. It narratively follows The Witcher, released in 2007, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, released in 2011. It is thus the third video game to take place in the literary universe of The Witcher, created by the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, but also the last to present the adventures of Geralt of Rivia.

The game follows in the footsteps of the witcher Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter whose adopted daughter Ciri is in danger and who sets out to find her in a medieval fantasy world. References are made to the content of the books written by Sapkowski, but the plot is new and offers a conclusion to the trilogy begun with the first game, released in 2007. Like the other installments in the series, this one takes place in an open world for third-person narration, and focuses on the use of Geralt's combat and detective skills to complete contracts and explore the environment in a main quest with several branches and a multitude of side missions.
