Synopsis

Thundermonk is an action puzzle game where the player controls the lone monk whose monastery has been overtaken by evil demons. The aim of the game is to move through the labyrinths of the monastery, collect treasures and use golden keys to unlock the Gates of Destiny. On each floor, three cups must be collected. The monk is controlled from a side view which resembles a platformer but there is no jumping as the monk can levitate in the air. The monastery is full of strange objects that zap the monk's energy when hit, but these can be destroyed by throwing bombs. These bombs can be thrown through walls and at specific locations, it is also possible to pass through walls. Energy also automatically decreases over time and when throwing bombs, meaning the player cannot take too long as a life is lost when energy runs out.
