Synopsis

Probably the first game to be based on Transformers toys, Convoy no nazo pits the player as Ultra Magnus, who must discover the secret of Convoy (known as Optimus Prime to most of the world). To find out, Ultra Magnus must travel across a set of platform-style worlds and fight a range of bosses, from Megatron, through the combiner series to a flying Decepticon emblem (!).

Ultra Magnus starts in robot mode, where he can jump far, but his gunshots only travel halfway across the screen. Press, and Magnus transforms into a trailer. In trailer mode, it can go under planes and pull up. When a plane is shot down, it turns into a robot, which must be killed with forward fire. Later, the game becomes more platform oriented.
