Synopsis

After being pushed from the top of a building, prodigy prosecutor Yoshikawa Itsuki wakes up in Hell. The judge of human souls, Yama, then asks him to help him resolve certain unresolved cases. Yama usually reads the record of human deeds, the Akasha, in order to pass judgment on souls, but in some cases he cannot determine the culprit simply by consulting the Akasha. This is why he needs Yoshikawa's deductive mind. The latter must read the Akasha and identify the person responsible. If he cooperates, Yama promises to send him back to the world of the living.
