Synopsis

Tuesday Night Football is a text-based American football simulation, featuring the Cleveland Browns & Houston Oilers, where you face the computer in a single game matchup. Players select offensive and defensive plays while the computer resolves each play through descriptive text commentary. The action is displayed on a traditional X's-and-O's 11-on-11 football field, with a moving cursor and sound effects providing visual and audio cues that help illustrate how each play develops. Gameplay focuses on strategy and play-calling rather than direct control of players. An unusual historical quirk is that the Cleveland Browns roster includes several players from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
