Synopsis

Turtles, also known as Turpin, puts you in the role of the mother turtle who tries to save the turtles from a bunch of bad bugs (or, in some versions, bad cars). It takes place in a Pacman-esque maze, with turtle boxes in the center and corners of the screen. Run into a box to free the kid turtle inside. Opening a box makes a small house appear, and you must go with the kidturtle to the house before you can release the next one. All the while you have to avoid the bugs/cars running around the maze. If they get too close, you can release a mine that will temporarily stun them. When you run out of mines, you must restock by passing a star in the center of the screen. Be wary, though, because simpleminded bugs get smarter as time goes on; this is symbolized by their changing colors. On later levels, these sneaky beetles can also break out of boxes that are supposed to contain turtles. Be careful!

Each level is a floor in a house, and between levels you can see the turtle climbing to the next floor until it reaches the top.
