Synopsis

Although ostensibly a traditional platform game in which the player controls Kawauso-kun, the game is renowned for being one of the first titles to attempt to break free from the video game conventions of the time. Other new features of the game include a series of fake title screens that the player must pass through at the start, and the ability for the main character to walk through the background at certain points to get around pits of spikes that seem impossible to cross.

Additionally, attacking the character requires the player to hold down the attack button while the game cycles through possible special moves, with the most powerful attacks only being highlighted for a short time.
