Synopsis

As one could imagine, Valis II is very logically the sequel to Valis, a nice action/platform game originating in the world of the Japanese PC, then adapted very late on the PC Engine (the PCE part of Valis first of the name was actually released after its sequels, and is thus the only one of the four episodes to have had the honors of the Super CD-ROM2).
What has contributed a lot to making the Valis saga so popular is undoubtedly the “dramatic story” side that the programmers try to include in the different parts. This is how each of them benefits from its little scenario which, if it never blows the ceiling, nevertheless gives depth to what would otherwise have been just another vulgar action/platform game. In this sense, Valis is what we can call a “soap opera”. The four titles are all very linked to each other, and we each time await the sequel with a certain impatience.
