Synopsis

In Vanguard, your objective is to pilot your spaceship to the City of Mystery which is located at the end of a heavily guarded tunnel, and once there, destroy the Gond creature. The tunnel is divided into several different zones, called the mountain zone, the rainbow zone, the stick zone, the stripe zone, the dark zone and the city of mystery. Each area offers different types of enemy spaceships to deal with and can scroll horizontally or vertically. In the Mountain Zone or Stripe Zone, you may also encounter an Energy Capsule marked with an “E”. If you fly through this, your ship becomes temporarily invincible to the deadly cave walls and the many enemies trying to stop you.
