Synopsis
Virtua Racing is a port of Sega's first ever polygonal 3D arcade racing game. The game consists of Formula 1 races on beginner, intermediate, or expert tracks, against a second player or console-controlled drivers.
The Megadrive version of Virtua Racing is the only game on the console to use an SVP (Sega Virtua Processor) chip. This chip is a 3D processor integrated into the cartridge (the console having no 3D capabilities), very similar to the SuperFX chip in the Super NES, used in Starfox and Stunt Race FX.
