Synopsis

The game takes place in a dystopian future in which Earth is controlled by corporate unions. People wanting to free themselves from their domination colonize other planets. On one of these colonies, a powerful technology used by an extinct race is discovered. One of the corporate unions, DN, reverse-engineers the technology and uses it to design combat robots called Virtuaroids. While testing this new technology, the test complex's central computer becomes self-aware and activates the Sun Cannon, intending to use it to destroy civilization. DN tasks its senior staff with taking control of several Virtuaroids and using them to stop the malicious computer.
