Synopsis

Gradius II: Gofer no Yabō translated as Gradius II: Gofer's Ambition), named Vulcan Venture in Europe, is a shoot 'em up type video game developed and published by Konami in 1988 on arcade machine. This is another sequel to Gradius. The game is similar to its predecessor (side-scrolling shoot 'em up), but it adds the innovations that appeared in Salamander, the Gradius spin-off released the previous year.

This is also the first game in the series to feature the "boss parade", a level entirely made up of duels against bosses from previous Gradius or Salamander.
