Way Of The Exploding Fist, The
Synopsis
This fighting game with an ominous title was the first in a long series of martial arts games developed by the Australian company Melbourne House. It features sixteen different moves, ranging from simple kicks and jumps to somersaults and roundhouse kicks. Movement is determined by the character's direction, the position of the joystick or keyboard, and the press of the fire button, which became the standard for single-button control systems. To win, players must perform two Yin-Yangs: a strong punch or kick earns a full point, while a weaker punch only earns half a point. In single-player mode, players advance to Dan level after two consecutive victories, while the opponent's victory ends the game. In two-player mode, the winner is decided after four rounds, according to the points system.
