With Family Ski, slide down superb snowy slopes and discover the joys of life at altitude. Welcome to Happy Ski Resort, an idyllic haven with stunning views from which you can explore the mountains and hills! Don't wait any longer, put on your skis to stroll and admire the landscape, relax or take part in numerous challenges, each more fun than the last. With their thick layer of fresh snow, the mountains of the Happy Ski Resort will delight all virtual skiers! Choose the ski slope that suits you best and go hiking! In Family Ski you can explore 14 slopes, each of them with its own unique landscapes, sounds and skiing possibilities. And in case you feel a little alone in these immense snowy landscapes, Family Ski has thought of you: up to four people can put on their skis and go on an adventure together! The difficulty of each slope is represented by a color, as well as by the name of an animal (to help you memorize your favorite places on the mountain). The green slopes are ideal for beginners, while the blue slopes are designed to give you a little more challenge. If you're feeling brave, choose a red slope that will put your skiing skills to the test during perilous descents or show what you're made of on the terrifying yellow slopes with tricks! Whatever slope you want to explore, learning the basics at ski school is never wasted time! Once you've mastered the technique, the possibilities on the slopes are virtually endless: take part in competitions, take on challenges from people you meet along the way, or take the chairlift to discover the hidden regions of this stunning winter wonderland. With Family Ski and the Wii Balance Board, ski "for real": plot your course on the snow-covered slopes and negotiate each turn by simply leaning to the left or right. The tightest turns on the slope are negotiated by completely shifting your weight to the appropriate side; Furthermore, the sensitivity of the Wii Balance Board is such that the smallest change in posture allows you to tackle the widest turns on the least dangerous tracks with complete peace of mind. Additionally, to help you perfect your slalom technique, an on-screen indicator light clearly shows you how your balance is progressing! While lateral movements can be controlled using the Wii Balance Board, the Wii Remote and Nunchuk act as virtual ski poles; with simple intuitive movements, they allow you to gain speed, perform tricks in the air or regain your balance after a violent collision. Are you getting ready to ski? “for real”! Wherever you go in Happy Ski Resort, your goal will be to stand out from other skiers! A powerful customization tool allows you to choose from 32 faces and dozens of clothing combinations that will give your character a touch of your own. Select the style of skis, hairstyles, outfits and accessories before preparing your little trip to the slopes. As you complete the game's challenges, you unlock new items and clothing that you can equip yourself with to remain the most fashionable skier in the region! And if you want to see yourself hurtling down the many slopes of Happy Ski Resort, why not play as your Mii and breathe in the fresh mountain air! Taking photos is a very important part of any trip, don't forget to immortalize the fondest memories of your hikes. Happy Ski Resort is filled with so many spectacular landscapes that it's reassuring to know that you can take photos of the highlights of your stay! By finding a photographer on the ski slopes or simply by framing a shot yourself, you can capture the scenes that mean the most to you, then store them safely in your album. With the 50 poses that your character can take, as well as the possibility of being photographed in the company of three friends, you will quickly obtain a photo album of your stay in the mountains.
