Synopsis

Wiping, later re-released as Rug Rats, is a Dig Dug-style arcade game that was published by Nichibutsu in 1982; it uses two Zilog Z80 microprocessors (running at 3.072 MHz) and a custom audio chip running at the same speed. The player must use a 4-way joystick to take control of a vacuum cleaner (which bears a striking resemblance to Numatic International's brand new "Henry") with a single button to make it spray soap bubbles at germs (of which there are three different types, "Baddons", "Bilbolas" and "Bigimbas"), and roll them over while they are stunned to suck them up - and he can also go over carpets to roll them and crush them all the germs found there, but he can also be a victim of them.
