Synopsis

Wizardry III & IV contains two role-playing games from the Wizardry series: Legacy of Llylgamyn and The Return of Werdna. Both games were ported to the PC Engine CD console (TurboGrafx) with various improvements, not released separately. The player automatically starts playing at "Legacy of Llylgamyn" the game "The Return of Werdna" is accessible via the "Utilitarian" option from the city menu. While the games are pretty true to the original computer versions in terms of gameplay and graphics design, the improvements are big enough for it to be a remake.
Unlike computer originals with their vector lines, dungeons now have simple graphics. The enemy sprites are also drawn in more detail. From the beginning, a group of six predefined players is available, composed of characters with generic names ("Fighter", "Samurai", etc.); the creation of own characters (unlike the modified version of Might and Magic of PC Engine on CD) remains possible however. Naturally, in The Return of Werdna, the player controls Werdna and his summoned monsters. Another notable change is the inclusion of orchestrated CD audio music for dungeon navigation and (possibly) battle music.
