Synopsis

Después de que el Orbe de L'Kbreth fuera utilizado para traer la paz a la tierra de Llylgamyn, surge una nueva amenaza en la región. Se han detectado extrañas energías malévolas debajo del Templo de los Sabios. Estas energías, llamadas "Maelstrom" por los lugareños, pueden ser selladas por una persona conocida como el Guardián. Desafortunadamente, este último fue encarcelado por un misterioso poder o persona llamada SORN. Un grupo de valientes aventureros busca al sumo sacerdote G'bli Gedook, el guardián del Orbe de L'Kbreth, quien les explica que deben liberar al Guardián y, en última instancia, derrotar al mal que lo causa.
