Synopsis

The power of the Staff of Gnilda, the artifact that protects the city of Llylgamyn, is fading. Queen Airasu's sister, Sokusu, disappeared a year ago, along with the evil mage Thailand Rossum. The queen called on the adventurers to defeat Thailand Rossum and find her sister. Your group of adventurers has answered this call.

Wizardry Gaiden is a Wizardry side story game for the Gameboy. This is an original, exclusively Japanese title, and not a port of any computer version. Its developer, ASCII, is also the one who created the remakes of Wizardry 1 through 6 for the Famicom and Super Famicom, and as such, Wizardry Gaiden retains much of the look and feel of the series' other console titles. The gameplay system most closely resembles that of Wizardry V (released the following year for the Super Famicom), with the addition of long-range weapons, improved spells, and auto-mapping.
