Wizardry Gaiden 2 - Kodai Koutei No Noroi
Synopsis
Wizardry Gaiden II is the second installment in the Wizardry Gaiden series, a Japanese exclusive. The storyline was written by Japanese author Benny Matsuyama, and is not based on any Wizardry games developed by Sir-tech. Developed by ASCII, the same company that created the console versions of the other Wizardry games, Wizardry Gaiden II bears many stylistic similarities to other console entries in the series.
The game takes place in the city of Al-Mar, an oasis located in the Eastern Desert. The city workers work tirelessly to uncover the mystery of the nearby ruins, but to no avail. Almost daily collapses have killed or stranded many people, and the mysteries of the labyrinth only seem to deepen. It is only when a warning engraved on a metal plaque is discovered that the inhabitants of Al-Mar realize the great evil they have awakened: their city was built on the tomb of the ancient witch-emperor Harugisu.
Many of those who had lost their lives exploring the cave returned from the dead, and the city remained in darkness. Even the Chamberlin Udin was not spared, his own daughter seemingly defeated by the darkness that enveloped the city. His own soldiers refused to enter the labyrinth and the situation became critical.
