Synopsis

Wizardry: Knight of Diamonds is the sequel to Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord. This is an early example of an expansion, which requires the player to have the original Wizardry game installed in order to play it. It uses the same engine and spells, but is designed to import existing characters rather than create a new party. Players explore a 3D maze in search of a key item, Gnilda's Staff, needed to complete the game. The player creates a party of up to 6 characters of different classes, then earns experience points by fighting randomly encountered enemies. The maze features many hidden doors and secrets, so the player is encouraged to map each floor on graph paper to find their way.
