Synopsis

World Ice Hockey is a top-down hockey game. The player can choose from eight national teams (USSR, Canada, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic, Sweden, USA and Japan) and play in an exhibition match or tournament; this last option consists of a series of games that the player must win. Beyond the different tactical options that can be configured before and during matches, the gameplay does not surprise anyone: in possession of the puck, the player can either pass it or shoot. Otherwise, an attempt to recover the puck is a viable option. A two-player mode is also available.
