Synopsis
It's dangerous, it's sneaky, it's Xevious. Never before has a slogan summed up a video game so perfectly. Xevious was one of the first (if not the first) of a new genre of arcade games: the scrolling shooter. While we take these games for granted today, in 1982 such a concept was unheard of. Most games of the time only had a single screen with no scrolling, which seriously limited their creativity. A screen shooter like Galaga and Galaxian was fine, but players were hungry for something different. Xevious satisfies that hunger.
