Synopsis

Xevious is a shooting legend. Unfortunately, it hasn't really evolved. Only a few improvements set it apart from the arcade version.
The game therefore comprises two versions: the arcade version, totally identical to the original, and a special version for the Nec console called Fardraut.
The original is identical to the arcade version. With progressive difficulty, non-existent music and levels that follow one another without a break. The Fardraut version isn't particularly advanced. There are a few cut-scenes with still images to tell the story between levels, and music more worthy of the PC Engine. In terms of gameplay, there are even speed and shooting power upgrades... But the folks at Namco decided that the first version was far too simple, and upped the difficulty enormously!
