Synopsis

Xexex is a side-scrolling game in which players pilot a ship called 'Flintlock' and must rescue the blue-haired princess Irene from the planet E-Square from an evil overlord named Klaus.

The player's ship has a detachable orb called Flint, which behaves similarly to the "force device" from Irem's "R-Type" series. Powers can be obtained to increase Flint's power, movement speed, change the primary weapon, or even give the player an extra life.
